Yes. You can register or transfer a name with us and leave it there, pointed wherever you like. Plenty of people do that to keep all their domains under one login. If you decide to host with us later, the domain is already in the same place, ready to point at your site.
Can you move my existing domain to you?
Yes. Switch off the registrar lock at your current provider, grab the auth (EPP) code, and start the transfer in the client area. We check your records before the switch so your site and email keep working, and if you'd rather we did the fiddly bit, just ask the UK team.
Will my email or website break during a transfer?
It shouldn't. A domain transfer changes who manages the name, not the records themselves, and we copy your DNS across before it completes so your site and email keep pointing where they already do. If anything looks off, you've a UK team to call who can see the lot.
Do you offer free SSL?
Yes, on sites hosted with us. Every site we host gets an automatic SSL certificate, provisioned and renewed for you, so the padlock stays in place without you thinking about it. The SSL comes with the hosting rather than the domain on its own.
Who do I call if the DNS goes wrong?
Us, on 0333 090 4540, or through the client area. Because your domain and hosting sit together, the UK team can look at both at once instead of bouncing you between two companies. We can also make record changes for you if you'd rather not touch them.
Are there renewal price hikes?
We'll be straight about this: registry prices do move, so a renewal can differ from the first year, and some extensions run an intro rate. We don't bury surprise jumps in the small print. The live price is always shown in the client area before you renew, and we'll flag it rather than auto-charging a number you've not seen.
How do I register a domain name in the UK?
Search for the name on this page, add it to your basket and check out; the domain is live within minutes and appears in the same client area as your hosting. A .uk or .co.uk needs no special eligibility. Set the nameservers to ours if the site is hosted here, or to any other provider if it is not.
How do I transfer a domain to you?
Unlock the domain at your current registrar, get the transfer (EPP) code for a .com or similar, or change the IPS tag to ours for a .uk, then start the transfer from your client area. Keep the old DNS records in place until the transfer completes so the website and email stay up.
Who owns a domain name, me or you?
You do. The domain is registered in your name and details, you hold the login, and you can transfer it away at any time. We are the registrar of record, which is a service, not ownership.
